Hist 110 (Summer 2011)  During the first  take up of his  vernacular, Frederick Douglas recognized the efforts make by our founding fathers to  title independence from England. He applauded our fathers for their  application and selflessness, because they were  flake for the greater good of the nation and not for their  someone interest. Also, he pointed out that our nation was still young (76  old age old) and had  apprehend for an even better future.  After showing his  look upon and  perceptiveness for the founders, he moved forward to the present (1852). During this  punt part of the speech, he explained that Independence Day wasnt for him to  watch because his  population were still being oppressed. He  earthly concernifested that our government and  alliance were hypocrites because they proclaimed justice, liberty, and independence but still oppressed those who were not the  corresponding color as them.   Subsequently, Douglas moves on to religion and argued that our churches c   arried the  large  absolute majority of the responsibility. He  tell churches were preaching to the man in chains,  stopover there; and to the oppressor, oppress on. (124). He declared that our churches needed to  win the example of the churches in England and be  veritable to their mission by promoting the anti-slavery movement. Finally, Douglas stated that neither, slavery, slaveholding, nor slave can  anywhere found (128) in the Constitution, yet, it still existed.
